Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Project Engineer, Project Engineer II, or Senior Engineer to work within the Water/Wastewater Engineering Division at our Headquarters facility in Millersville, MD. This position provides proficient level engineering, planning, direction and management of specific tasks related to MES projects and facilities.

The person selected for this position will be responsible for the management of the project from the conceptual design stage through start-up. We are seeking candidates with experience in water and wastewater design and construction, a strong project and budget management background, and outstanding customer service skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Estimated Pay Range:

$74,085.52 - $112,054.16

Minimum Requirements:

All positions require a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Sanitary, Mechanical, Geotechnical, Electrical or other generally recognized field of engineering from an accredited college or university. In addition to the education requirements:

Project Engineer: 6 years of related engineering experience, two years of which include project lead/engineering oversight for construction and/or dredging project(s). A Master's Degree in an Engineering or Management discipline may be substituted for two years of the required experience

Project Engineer II: 8 years of related engineering experience, three years of which include project lead/engineering oversight for construction and/or dredging project(s) and at least 1 year of experience managing staff. Professional Engineer Certification may be substituted for two year of the required experience or a Master's Degree in an Engineering or Management discipline may be substituted for two years of the required experience.

Senior Engineer: 10 years of relevant engineering experience, four years of which included direct supervisory capacity managing technical and scientific staff. Professional Engineer Certification may be substituted for two years of the required experience. Assignment to some MES locations may require PE certification. Master's degree in engineering or other relevant field may be substituted for two years of required experience. EIT certification may be substituted for one year of the required experience.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
