Elford is actively seeking a talented MEP Manager to join our growing team!
Primary responsibilities include the following:
This role will actively manage MEP activities on assigned projects in addition to leading and mentoring MEP coordinators.
This role will lead Elford s efforts to refine and develop processes to ensure consistent MEP quality across multiple market sectors and geographic locations.
This role will collaborate with our QAQC Manager to refine and develop new QAQC processes for MEP work.
This role will be an integral part of our prefabrication team to maximize prefabrication opportunities, plan the process, and execute in the shop and in the field.
This role will work in preconstruction to assist estimating with MEP budgets, Bid Packages, and work plans.
This role will heavily collaborate with our VDC Department and Subcontractors to ensure that models are accurate and up to date.
Perform field surveys of existing spaces and document.
This role will lead our MEP group, including other MEP coordinators as well as actively manage MEP efforts on assigned projects.
On assigned projects, the role will support Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure MEP work is well executed, on schedule, and of highest quality.
This role will ensure that models are implemented in the field.
This role may assist in VDC efforts such as laser scanning when appropriate.
This role will lead Elford s Commissioning efforts including development of commissioning plans and execution in the field (sometimes with an External Commissioning Agent).
This role will assist the Project Management team with Owner demonstration and training on MEP systems.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced, yet precise environment.
An associate or bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Technology, or similar is preferred, but not required.
A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience and MEP system expertise is required.
A background in the MEP trades is an excellent substitution for a degree.
A background in Commissioning is highly desired. Credentials such as Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP), Professional Engineer, LEED AP, Certified Health Care Constructor (CHC), and trade certifications/licenses are all helpful.
Software experience with systems such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, PlanGrid, Procore, CMiC, will be helpful.
