Your new company:

A DC metro based general contractor looking to hire a Project Manager to join their project management team to work on federal construction projects. My client is open to professionals who have recently graduated from college or those with 5+ years of construction industry experience working for a subcontractor or general contractor.


This general contractor specializes in federal construction work in the DC metro area. Your new role:


As a Project Manager you will lead your own projects as the lead PM. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, all centered around ensuring all of your projects are delivered to an excellent standard, meeting the desired quality by the client, whilst ensuring the project is on time and within budget. You will be involved in project scheduling, bidding, take-offs, procurement and cost controls; as well as the management of RFI s, submittals and change orders.


The role will include a mixture of working in the office, as well as attending site visits. All of their work is in the DC metro area so project managers need to be comfortable in having a daily commute in and around the district.


What you'll need to succeed:

  • 5+ years experience running projects as a Project Manager.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Project, Word, and Outlook.
  • This is a fast-paced position so you will need to be able to multi-task and be an excellent communicator and able to work with different personalities and levels of seniority within an organization.
  • A positive mindset with a strong desire to learn from experienced project managers and the ownership.
