Mercy Medical Center, named one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery, is home to Orthopedics and Joint Replacement at Mercy. Orthopedics and Joint Replacement is one of the select Centers of Excellence within The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital at Mercy.

The doctors, surgeons and clinical experts in Orthopedics and Joint Replacement at Mercy serve patients in Baltimore, Maryland and across the Mid-Atlantic region. Their services are complemented by Mercy orthopedic surgeons in Sports Medicine, Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist and Hand Surgery, Spine Surgery and Foot and Ankle Surgery.

This role supports the orthopedic and joint replacement program, the upper extremity program and the sport medicine program. Under direction from the Director and Sr. Director, the Practice Manager is responsible for the operational management of one or more practice sites. The Practice Manager assumes responsibility for ensuring the cost effective delivery of quality patient care. The manager will remain abreast of financial and operational growth goals for the department/practice and strategizes for continued improvement in operating and financial performance. In conjunction with leadership, the Practice Manager plays a strategic role in driving the operational efficiency and strategic plans for the practice(s).

Must be willing to perform job standards and provide excellent customer service to staff, patients and visitors in a manner consistent with Mercy Medical Centers' Service Excellence Standards, Mission and Values.

• Bachelors Degree in a clinical or administrative field preferred (High SChool Diploma/GED required)
• Preferred (2) or more years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is required.
• Ideally two (2) years experience in one or all of the following: direct supervision of administrative and/or clinical staff; physician practice billing, coding, quality assurance and experience in relevant area for assigned department/care center/practice.
• Physician practice supervisory experience preferred.
