**Inventory Technician**

**Job Summary:**

This individual will work to reduce order fulfillment issues to help maintain shipping deadlines. They will participate in program/inventory audits to assure objectives and goals are achieved and ensure continual improvements in accordance with established Company policies, procedures, and objectives.

Persons in Inventory Technician roles are responsible for verifying the accuracy of inventory (by performing Cycle Count tasks and minor corrections to inventory accuracy) and by trouble-shooting complicated inventory issues through research and decision-making.

**SCOPE OF POSITION**

This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, attention to detail, accuracy, and a desire to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

**JOB DUTIES**

Follow assigned work patterns to check the accuracy of inventory, using inventory scanner equipment to scan cartons for comparison of actual inventory to computerized inventory.

Recommend changes in process to improve the warehouse area and operating efficiency. Continuous improvement is key.

Become cross-trained in all tasks that affect this position, such as Order Management, Replenishment, Picking, VAS, Quality and Shipping.

Monitor and control inventory variances, overseeing inventory adjustment validation and resolution process.

Perform other assignments or duties appropriate to the overall responsibility of the position.

Support continuous improvement efforts, identify corrective action, and implement appropriate improvements.

**SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS**

Warehouse experience in manufacturing, distribution or logistics environment required.

Ability to learn and apply basic use of inventory software and equipment, including the ability to walk or stand for long periods, to pick up and carry cartons of product, to see and understand messages and number on small screens, and to maintain accuracy.

Aptitude for numbers, counting, comparing data and making judgments to correct inaccuracies with attention to detail.

**EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**

High School Education or equivalent

Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication)

Knowledge of the operation of a personal computer (PC)
