Objectives

Individual provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department, including assistance with projects, recruitment processes, new employee orientation, and various administrative tasks. Individual reports to the Human Resources Manager. Job Standards
Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field combined with two-years of relevant experience required. Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must meet and maintain qualifications for driving on County business at all times. All required licenses and certifications must be maintained as a continued condition of employment. Essential Functions
Assists departmental staff in various projects and human resources functions;
Performs administrative duties integral to the recruitment process, encompassing scheduling interviews and applicant testing, verifying references, conducting background checks, coordinating pre-employment drug screenings, and ensuring adherence to federal and state regulatory requirements throughout the recruitment cycle;
Assists with coordinating and conducting new employee orientation sessions;
Ensures accurate and confidential indexing of electronic personnel, disciplinary, and other HR files;
Assists with compiling public records requests;
Receives, greets clients and visitors for Human Resources;
Collects data, devises correspondence, completes forms and assists in the preparation of professional reports associated with the Human Resources operations;
Creates and updates spreadsheets; develops basic formulas for software applications;
Creates and distributes incoming and outgoing documentation and correspondence;
Drives vehicles to various locations as required;
Attends various training sessions, video conferences, and workshops;
Performs accurate typing, word processing, and related computer operations;
Hold as confidential, all aspects of the job;
Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance;
Works outside of typical work schedule/business hours as required; and
Other duties as assigned.
Supplemental Information
Please note: This is a temporary position. The anticipated start date for the position will be in early to mid-July 2024, with an anticipated end date around July 2025. The position will typically require approximately 30 hours per week; however, hours may vary depending on workload and operational needs.
