Job description

NATECH is recruiting for a Cyber Tech (SETA) - Scientific, Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) to join our team supporting the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Information Innovation Office (I20). This position requires Top Secret at minimum; must be eligible for TS/SCI upgrade to be considered.

Serving the I2O Office providing SETA support to senior DARPA Office level leadership.

Work performed 100% onsite at DARPA in Arlington, VA at least partially in a SCIF environment

Travel may be required up to 10-20% of the time

Job Duties:

  • Technology and research management of programs in software program analysis, Computer Network Defense, Computer Network Exploitation, and/or Computer Network Attack.
  • Make significant contributions across a range of technical areas by identifying, analyzing, and developing novel technologies and methodologies for current and new program development.
  • Provide in-depth expertise in the assessments of proposals to determine the technical merit of proposal objectives and methodologies.
  • Develop test plans for assessment of program performers' systems.
  • Coordinate with program performers throughout the testing of programs to ensure ranges, testing, and systems meet the test plan requirements
  • Network incidence monitoring and response.Utilize incident information for analysis of intrusion severity.
  • Make significant contributions across a range of technical areas by identifying and monitoring ongoing cyber threats through open source and internal data analysis.
  • Provide a resource and means of information support for proposals to determine the technical merit of proposal objectives and methodologies.
  • Use information analysis expertise to identify, develop, and support methodologies for current and new program development.
Requirements

Required Education and Experience:
  • Must have a technical background of some depth related to cyber technologies, hardware, and/or software (able to go deep at least in one cyber area or domain)
  • Technology and technical approach related experience with military cyber operations, tools, and integration with transition platforms for operational use
  • Experience with supporting DoD research programs in terms of technology management, engagement with research performers, deliverable review, and leading regular calls or meetings with research performers on a technical basis
  • Experience involving direct engagement with government transition partners (within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community) and related stakeholders
  • Demonstrated understanding of DoD security guidance, policy, and program execution with respect to test events, conducting research, and technology transition
  • Ability to perform high priority and time-sensitive tasks in parallel
  • Extreme attention to detail and organizational approach and abilities
  • Deeply embraces and understands the "SETA mentality" of keeping programs progressing, working within an agency like DARPA, and communicating among research teams and transition partners
Desired Skills:
  • TS/SCI highly preferred
  • Hands-on tactical experience with analytical products and tools for cyber operations
  • Experience with
o Advanced cybersecurity technologies transitioning and entering rapid acquisition from the Department of Defense research community

o -and/or-Testing and evaluation of Department of Defense or Intelligence Community applied research and advanced technology development of cybersecurity technologies and/or prototypes in an operationally relevant environment

o -and/or-Gathering and interpreting information from sensitive platforms for intelligence collection, risk assessment, and reporting
  • 5+ years of experience in the above realms
