You will help deliver impactful technology that will enable capacity management through scalable, intelligent data migration and cloud infrastructure improvement. We are looking for exceptional database automation engineers at all levels to begin big challenges and innovate on our database technology.Your Impact:Actively participate in database automation and feature enhancement on premise and in Public cloud platform.

Design and development of the core database infrastructure and functionalities

Come up with innovative ideas to improve performance, scalability and resilience in a large-scale platform

Implement comprehensive functional and system-test for your area of responsibility and for overall database quality

Debug, conduct root cause analysis, diagnose defects

Responsibility and accountability for the availability and reliability of all Production Databases.

Working with other Engineering teams to triage issues.

Perform sophisticated solving of problems and subsequently make and implement recommendations to prevent future occurrences or customer impact.

Define, develop and deploy system monitoring requirements/thresholds as well as corrective actions. Improve the system reliability via predictive analysis.

Design, develop, deploy, and enhance automation to successfully own the platform infrastructure.

Designing, scaling out services in our multi-tenant infrastructure.

Collaborate with and provide detailed feedback to internal/External Database cloud partners on resiliency initiatives.

Participate in production Incident Management / Customer concern calls and be able to drive the incident to resolution.

Provides technical and platform support to multiple customers and partners that use the production systems.

Requirements:U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) who does not hold dual citizenship. You agree to complete a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position with the U.S. federal government or other clearances as deemed appropriate for the role.

A related technical degree required

Strong experience in running Oracle production database on AWS, knowledge of kubenetes, EC2 and EKS.

Experience in Oracle DataGuard, rman backup and recovery and Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Experience with developing automation to serve database operation efficiency.

Experience in High-performance, low-latency, high-availability (99.99%) and self-recoverable systems

Experience in tuning Oracle memory and supporting a high-performance large-scale platform in public cloud

Experience in a Linux cloud environment with fluency in command line interfaces and shell scripting Bash, Shell

Ability to support/resolve production issue with excellent debugging and problem solving skills

Experience in working in a 24/7 team handling large cloud environments and ability to participate in on-call rotation

Have a passion for working together as a team and ensuring team success

Preferred Requirements:Experience with AWS SAM continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tasks for serverless applications/infrastructure

Knowledge of Linux kernel, storage and network.
