As a Senior Administrative Assistant at Americans for Prosperity (AFP), you'll be working in support of AFP's vision and mission to advance policies that will help people improve their lives. Through broad-based grassroots outreach, Americans for Prosperity is driving long-term solutions to the country's biggest problems. Come join us and do the kind of good that matters most.

Your Responsibilities Include

    • Calendar Management. Provide calendar and scheduling support to two leaders. Prioritize volume of inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts for principals. Make judgments based on time and recommendations grounded in strategic priorities and with a win-win mentality to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements
    • Project Coordination. Coordinate projects for the policy team's content with key customers to ensure continuity and effective knowledge sharing. Track and manage across capabilities policy team owned content such as long-form written reports, One-pagers, blog posts. Edit and collect inputs into biweekly policy reports. Keep internal database of policy products organized and updated. Oversee policy team knowledge systems for media tracking
    • Identify areas to increase efficiency and innovate to improve the team's administrative processes. Keep an eye out for opportunities to help the team support the organization's goals more effectively. Identify and learn new tools or techniques to elevate the level of support and partnership the team gives.
    • Knowledge Management. You will be responsible for the internal records and resource management for the team as well as the preparation of internal and external briefing materials
    • Provide occasional event planning and execution support. This will include internal team events, retreats, and meetings
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization
    • 3+ years of professional experience in a support or administrative capacity
    • Astute attention to detail and drive to take initiative
    • Collaborative and focused on finding win-win solutions to problems and obstacles
    • Track record of follow-up and follow-through; high degree of reliability
    • Extremely organized, self-disciplined, and professional in demeanor
    • A clear understanding of and excitement for AFP and Stand Together's missions
    • High degree of confidentiality, sound judgment, ability to think on your feet and problem solve while maintaining composure
    • Proactive, articulate, and concise oral and written communicator
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Experience using Quorum and Airtable a plus
