The Opportunity
Description
We're looking for a Database Administrator, working in Telecommunications industry in Ashburn, Virginia, United States.
- Manage the overall maintenance, administration, monitoring and troubleshooting for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL MongoDB and Cassandra databases.
- Install and build database structures Backup & Recovery Apply patches and upgrade database versions.
- Perform daily maintenance including monitoring and database maintenance tasks Query and performance tuning.
- Perform on-call rotation.
- Develop and maintain documentation.
- Provide 24x7 production support.
Our Client
Experience Required for Your Success
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- 8-10 years of experience in database administration of high availability, and critical production systems
- Hands on experience in creation and maintenance of Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL/MongoDB/Cassandra database instances, database design, database performance monitoring and tuning
- Working experience in Oracle 19c, database backup and recovery are also required.
- Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard experience required
- Working experience with SQL Server 2014, 2016, or 2019 Oracle certification preferred
- Candidate must be a good team player with strong team concept, self motivated, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
