Allegient Defense is a leader in advanced technology research and solutions development, and we are growing quickly. We are looking to hire a Intellectual Property Specialist to support a federal contract.

Essential Job Functions

+ Researching the size of the market, cost of goods or pricing models.

+ Establishing collaborative relationships with industry.

+ Identifying external entities with interest in research area(s) and developing research partnerships.

+ Identifying technologies best commercialized by a spin-out company or startup.

+ Identify strategies to use to seek partners to collaborate with and/or license the technology over to

+ Identify the best application mechanism to use to convey the research/information/technology to the user/practitioner (e.g. web portal, mobile application, report, etc.)

+ Assist with licensing negotiations and analysis; developing or critiquing business and operational plans; and/or, helping determine key requirements and traits for market viable products and services.

Requirements

Experience Requirements:

+ A person knowledgeable in technology transfer activities and intellectual property issues relating to scientific discoveries and inventions.

+ 5-10 years of relevant experience.

+ Ability to work onsite in Arlington, VA.
