Job description

Gridiron IT is seeking a Director of Contracts local to Reston, VA.

POSITION SUMMARYThe Contract Director will encompass a variety of responsibilities including managing and maintaining all contracts and subcontracts which involve all FAR and DFAR requirements. The candidate will support the Growth and Proposal team and must understand the proposal lifecycle and associated contract requirements, possess excellent communication skills, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work as a team player.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for creation, review, negotiation, and administration of Prime Contracts, Subcontracts, Joint Ventures, Purchase Orders, Task Orders, Contract Modifications, Teaming and Non-Disclosure Agreements Responsible for contracts administration to ensure compliance by providing guidance and support to Program Managers, by interpreting terms and conditions, monitoring contract performance to ensure compliance with contract terms, from proposal stage to project close-out, including timely submittal of required reports Provides problem resolution and counsel to executive level management on strategic and complex contractual issues Ensures compliance with all FAR, DFARS and public law requirements, as well as company policies and procedures Reviews and analyzes government solicitations for accuracy, to understand requirements, and advise on all relevant contract issues Responsible for subcontract sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration, and closeout phases Provides direct contract support and partners with executive-level leadership to ensure a successful balance of risk and business opportunity Prepares, negotiates, and maintains records of standard and non-standard agreements such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements, Reseller Agreements, Terms of Sale, etc Prepares, negotiates, and maintains non-standard terms and conditions Maintain communication with Management on contract performance including cost and schedule Communicate with customers regarding funding or additional budget needs, compliant documentation, schedule impacts, and negotiation of change management actions to ensure mutually satisfactory performance

Manages supplier performance throughout the subcontracting lifecycle Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations Other duties as assignedBASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years Supply Chain, Subcontract, Contracts, or Business Management experience. Experience in Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, or Project Management, and Joint Ventures

Minimum of 2 years of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFARS Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance Ability to work autonomously with suppliers and customers Ability to develop relationships across business functions to drive results Complex problem-solving skills Ability to evaluate and recommend process improvements Working knowledge of various contracting types (Firm Fixed, Price, Cost Plus, Incentive Fee, Award Fee, T&M, etc.) Solid interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills Ability to work with all levels of management This role may require up to 15% travelPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience conducting oral presentations to senior leadership Previous Team Lead or Management experience Working Level Knowledge of Contract Law Risk mitigation experience In-Scope DOD Top Secret Security Clearance or higher that has been granted or renewed within the past 6 years

Understanding of Import/Export Regulations Negotiation skills Ability to analyze proposals to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance#J-18808-Ljbffr
