This means that integrity, adherence to our ethical standards, and compliance with legal obligations are fundamental responsibilities for every employee at NPR.The Project Manager for Network Growth will be responsible for providing operational and project management leadership for the department s major initiatives that require extensive cross-divisional coordination and planning. This position will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are operating efficiently, and delivered on time and within scope.This role requires a leader with strong communication, analytical, and team-building skills who can function with the trust and respect of colleagues at varying levels of responsibility across the organization. This person must be focused on results, yet comfortable with ambiguity.The role reports to the Vice President, Audio Platform Strategy.RESPONSIBILITIESWork with team members across divisions to determine objectives, scope, timeline, and success metrics for Network Growth initiatives.Ensure forward momentum on key strategic Network priorities and programs that may include the NPR Podcast Network, the NPR mobile apps, NPR+ and more.Assist the Vice President, Audio Platform Strategy and work closely with them to iterate our processes, identify and clear roadblocks, and implement solutions.Help develop regular communications to ensure staff transparency on initiatives.Plan and facilitate meetings for audiences at multiple levels of seniority and/or technical proficiency.Analyze and implement processes to meet organizational goals, while being flexible enough to accommodate diverse work styles.Build consensus and foster an inclusive, collaborative work environment that empowers all project participants and supports team accountability and dedication to mission.Contribute to the development of project management best practices at NPR.Other duties as assigned.The above duties and responsibilities are not an exhaustive list of required responsibilities, duties and skills. Other duties may be assigned, and this job description can be modified at any time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS4-7 years of relevant experience in project management.Can serve as a thought leader and coach, capable of mentoring and inspiring other team members to continuously improve.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience working in and/or knowledge of the podcast industry and/or media companies is a plus.REQUIRED SKILLSCommitment to diversity and inclusion demonstrated in track record of success as project managerExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complexity and prioritize multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with project management and digital collaboration tools. Strong digital fluency and learning agility. Ability to understand technical concepts and to quickly develop proficiency with new programs as needed.Complex problem solving skills and a proactive approach. If there is an issue, you are usually the first to flag it. If your team is stumped and you don t have the answer yourself, you try to find it for them.Excellent communication skills. You will be eager to share your team s work and increase its visibility, over-communicate risks and dependencies to your team and management, and both give and accept constructive feedback.Positive approach to embracing change, resiliency, and an ability to keep teams calm and focused during times of stress.A hunger for learning challenging concepts and taking on new assignments.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, including as a team coach.Ability to analyze and implement business processes to meet organizational goals while acknowledging the styles of diverse work groups.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTBachelor's degree or equivalent in work experienceWORK LOCATIONHybrid Permitted: This is a hybrid permitted role. Some aspects of this role include duties that are better performed at an NPR facility. The employee will be required to be onsite at the

office at least 10 days a year. The employee must also reside in an NPR supported location based on the number of onsite days they choose.JOB TYPEThis is a full time, exempt position.COMPENSATIONSalary Range: The U.S. based anticipated salary range for this opportunity is $80,000 - $90,000 plus benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salaries NPR expects to provide for new hires for the position across all US locations.Benefits: NPR offers access to comprehensive benefits for employees and dependents. Regular, full-time employees scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week are eligible to enroll in NPR s benefits options. Benefits include access to health and wellness, paid time off, and financial well-being.
