Our goal is to ensurethat ouralloffamiliesare stable and thriving.JOB SUMMARY:The Associate Project Manager will assist in the planning of all aspects of the organizational strategy for ensuring that familiesofthe target area are stable and thriving. The Associate Project Manager willassistthe Senior Project Manager withestablishingeffective and strong working relationships with clients and other key community partners (i.e.residents, schools, service providers, civic leaders, federal,stateand local public agencies, businesses, philanthropy, etc.).RESPONSIBILITIES:Partnership Development and CultivationAssist with researching and identifying high impact partners that have the ability or, with capacity building, will have the ability to meet the programmatic goals.Monitor and lead sub-contractors and partners from the private, nonprofit, and public sectors and support them in implementation of programsAssist in identifying new working relationships with key partner organizations and social service providers with resources that can support programmaticTake a hands-on approach to support on-site activities, ensuring effective implementation of the organizational strategy within the target area.Conduct regular canvassing in the target communities to build rapport, understand community needs, and ensure the success of the organizational goals.Reporting RequirementsIn consultation with Project Management staff, assist with the development and implementation of an Annual Plan for the target The Annual Plan must align with the overall programmatic goals, and be consistent with program philosophies and the articulated vision for a sustainable mixed-income community. Programs and services must be informed by ongoing needs assessment andevidence basedpractice.Assist the Project management staff in tracking and reporting programmaticoutcomes, andengage in ongoing evaluation of programs and services to ensure that they meet project objectives and other project requirements.Assist the Project management staff with monitoring the productivity of all dataentered intothe LEARN Performance Management System to prepare reports and document progress towards programmaticSustainability and Capacity BuildingPromote community building, leadership training and capacity building activities to strengthen and expand the ability of residents, resident leaders and local partnersto contributeto neighborhood transformation.Assist with sustainability planning, fundraising and resource development efforts as directed, including through ongoing identification of potential partnerships and funding opportunities, and assisting with writing grant or project proposals.AdministrativeOversee the staffing and management of a communityBe available to work nights and/or weekends, andSupport the management of project contract and budgets, and be accountable for expenditures to Senior Project ManagerAssisting in the development and present or publish internal and external reports to stakeholders and partners.Actively participate in Urban Strategies program meetings and other meetings related to theprojectOther administrative duties asassigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Education and/or experience required:Bachelors Degree2-3 years of work experience in the not-for-profit or human services sector, demonstrating progressively higher levels of responsibility for managing all aspects of a project or program, overseeing partnerships and contracts, and supervising a team of individuals.Skills and/or competencies required:Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate effectively with all members of a diverse stakeholder group, from residents to professionals and executives. Must provide writing sample demonstrating effective persuasiveMust be comfortable and effective in facilitating groupMust have ability to set vision, lead, and empower team members, residents, and service partnersMust be comfortable canvassing target communities and community organizing to build rapport and establish presence with the communityStrong organizational, planning and time management skills.Ability to analyze and interpret data, and to base program designs on resident-driven and data-driven rationale.A strong sense of and respect for confidentiality involving both participants and fellowMust excel in fast-paced environment with multiple service locations and a broad set of diverseAbility to work in a variety of settings withculturally-diversepersons and communities with the ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate.Passion for community building and ability to share that enthusiasm with residents, staff and the larger community.The ability to work independently and with initiative, combined with skills for thriving in a team environment to achieve sharedThe ability to develop and balance a program/projectComputer proficiency in MS Office Suite (Advanced MS Excel), other commonly used software.Urban Strategies is an equal opportunity employer#J-18808-Ljbffr
