RCG is a growing federal contracting company and Certified as a Great Place to Work. We are looking for strongly qualified people to help support our clients. We are currently seeking a Network Engineer as part of an ongoing contract in Washington, DC. This is a full-time, hybrid role three (3) days on-site two (2) days remote AFTER TRAINING.

Please note: Due to the secure nature of this government agency, all candidates must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident and be eligible for a Public Trust clearance.

The successful candidate will receive a contingent offer based on the outcome of a government background check. This may take several weeks, and the candidate cannot begin actual employment until the background check is successfully completed.

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure solutions for government and commercial clients. They will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of network systems, while also providing technical support and guidance to project teams.



Primary Duties:


  • Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
  • Perform network troubleshooting and optimization to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements, develop solutions, and implement changes as needed.
  • Monitor network traffic and performance, identifying and mitigating potential security threats and performance bottlenecks.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in network engineering, recommending innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and security.


    Qualifications include:


    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or related field.
    • Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure solutions.
    • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
    • Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.




      Preferred certifications/education:


      • Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA).
