Job description

Job Title: Senior Operations ManagerLocation: Hybrid Washington DC Area (Remote, Arlington, DC, and potentially other locations as needed)Overview:The Program Executive Office Manpower, Logistics, and Business Solutions (PEO MLB) was created to establish successful digital transformation and to optimize program alignment across the Navy and Marine Corps capability portfolios around the globe. Overseeing a portfolio of IT tools and business systems that provide a foundation for the Department of the Navy, PEO MLB provides services for their customers need to perform and complete a mission. Rackner will be working with PEO MLB to provide our expertise and the appropriate support needed to assist the government in the development and execution of certain projectsAbout this role:As a Senior Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in the management and coordination of branch, plant, or department operation strategies and activities and may assist with the review, development, and implementation of organizational policies, practices, procedures, and attainment of operating goals. You will review, analyze, and prepare reports, records, and directives, and confer with managers/supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities. You will also assign or delegate responsibility for specified work or functional activities and disseminate policies and objectives to supervisors/staff. The Senior Operations Manager may organize resources to ensure effective production of goods and/or services, give work direction, resolve problems, prepare schedules, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. The Senior Operations Manager will ensure adequate training of staff and employee compliance to organization's policies and practices, and coordinate activities of the department with related activities of other departments to ensure efficiency and economy. The Senior Operations Managers monitor and analyze costs and prepare department budgets. Responsibilities:Manage and coordinate branch, plant, and/or department operation strategies and activitiesReview, development, and implementation of organizational policies, practices, procedures, and attainment of operating goalsAssign or delegate responsibility for specified work or functional activities and disseminate policies and objectives to supervisors/staffOrganize resources to ensure effective production of goods and/or services, give work direction, resolve problems, prepare schedules, and set deadlinesEnsure adequate training of staff and employee compliance to organization's policies and practices, and coordinate activities of the department with related activities of other departments to ensure efficiency and economyOversee the programs schedules and manage budgets and any associated costsQualifications:Minimum of 7 years' experience working in operations managementBachelor's degree in either a technical or management disciplineProsci Change Management Practitioner, Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), Change Management Specialist (CMS), or Certified Problem and Change Manager (CPCM) certificationSecret or Above Clearance preferredSome travel may be requiredBenefits/Additional Info:Rackner embraces and promotes employee development and training and covers the cost of certifications relevant to a position and the technologies/services provided.
