**Job Purpose**

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for promoting a positive guest experience by overseeing the cleanliness of rooms within a given timeframe and in accordance with brand standards. The primary role is to inspect, train and work alongside the clean team to ensure all hotel rooms and public spaces meet compliance standards. This position is critical to ensure quality service to our guests while working cooperatively with members of the hotel team, maintaining room quality as well as safety and security of the hotel. The Executive Housekeeper will achieve desired outcomes through the creation, development, and maintenance of competent, motivated, and empowered staff. The Executive Housekeeper will effectively lead, train, coach, motivate, engage and provide feedback to the housekeeping staff daily.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

* Ensure that sufficient staffing is present to meet daily business demands and effectively manage productivity and efficiency to align with company labor models.

* Actively assist in the recruiting, hiring, and training of the housekeeping team.

* Prioritize and distribute work assignments.

* Investigate complaints about service and equipment and take corrective action.

* Conduct regular guest room and common area quality inspections.

* Monitor the clean teams daily labor goals.

* Perform daily room rack report to ensure guest rooms rentable prior to arrivals.

* Ensure the safe use of chemicals and equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.

* Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, hospitality, and conduct.

* Communicate, assign and execute special projects as needed.

* Conduct monthly supply inventory.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

* 3-5 years of experience in either customer service or housekeeping with progressively increased key or leadership roles.

* Previous experience with training, coaching, motivating and developing team members.

* Decision making and problem solving skills or past experiences.

* Basic communication skills (reading, writing, comprehension).

* Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) preferred but not required.

* Ability to work with minimal supervision.

* Comply with good grooming and proper appearance standards.

**Working Conditions**

Because Red Roof Inn hotels may be exterior corridor hotels, the physical environment may require the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Position may come into contact with pets. Employee is required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous chemicals/materials. Regularly scheduled hours may include nights, weekend and holidays. Schedules vary based on business need.

**Physical Requirements**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

**Direct Reports**

This position will have Housekeeping GSRs, Laundry GSRs, and Breakfast Attendants who report to the Head Housekeeper.
