Description
You will be joining ARC at an exciting time and filling a key role in developing and maintaining essential machine learning solutions, handling and supporting data and data pipelines, and engaging in exploration to improve and expand ARC's data-driven capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and improve existing machine learning solutionsServe as subject matter expert on assigned problem spaces, providing knowledge support to other ARC teamsExplore both new and existing data for opportunities to improve processes and solutionsDesign data acquisition plans as necessary to support specific business objectivesCoordinate with software and firmware teams to streamline model deployment processes and identify and improve process bottlenecksSeek continued model improvement in constrained environments with a willingness to explore creative solutionsDevelop new approaches to event detection models that improve upon existing performanceWork across the platforms team to optimize algorithm efficiency, execution time, accuracy, and sensor sampling/inputs.Identify new, desirable senor input types to improve upon or create new detection techniquesDevelop ARC's data ingest, storage, and classification pipelines and data lakes with ARC software support
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar fieldExperience building machine learning solutionsExperience with statistical analysis and data visualizationProficient with Python (including scikit-learn, numpy, pandas, TensorFlow/PyTorch)Understanding of machine learning fundamentalsProblem-solving skills with an understanding of processes and an instinct for optimizationAbility to obtain a US Security clearance
Preferred
Master's degree in Data Science or other quantitative fieldPractical/applied experience working with time-series dataPractical/applied experience solving machine learning problems in computationally constrained environments (microprocessors, edge computing)Understanding of best practices regarding model tracking and lineageExperience working in collaborative, version-controlled development environmentExperience working with or familiarity with small arms weapons system operation and basic principles of firearms functionality
This position will require access to restricted information and facilities protected under U.S. laws and regulations, including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
