Job description

TechOp Solutions International, a reputable Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that serves Federal, state, local, and private/commercial organizations in the defense and space industry, is looking for a skilled FOIA Analyst. The ideal candidate will join the dynamic TechOp team headquartered in Stafford, Virginia, and support TechOp's clients with the release of information under the Freedom of Information Act.

TechOp takes pride in its staff of highly respected and experienced professionals responsible for preparing for and/or responding to security threats, including all-natural and man-made disasters. For over 15 years, TechOp Solutions International has provided unparalleled services to its clients, and the FOIA Analyst will assist in upholding that standard.

Responsibilities
  • Support TechOp's clients with the release of information under the Freedom of Information Act
  • Determine the scope of requests, conduct research, identify responsive data, and provide advice and guidance to requesters
  • Review and process documents for release in response to requests, including redaction review and preparation of substantive and non-substantive responses
  • Coordinate with program offices and other stakeholders to obtain records and clarify responses
  • Manage and control all physical and electronic records maintained by the FOIA program
  • Create and maintain accurate records of FOIA requests and progress
  • Respond in a timely manner to both internal and external inquiries and provide excellent customer service

Requirements

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3-5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of FOIA regulations and experience with processing FOIA requests
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a background investigation.
