Job Title: Senior Project Manager Delivery Execution Lead
Location: Remote with occasional travel to Columbus, OH and/or Merrillville, IN
Period: 06/01/2024 to 06/30/2025
Hours/Week: 40 hours
Rate: $125/hour
Contract Type: 1099 or W-2


Scope of Services:

The Project Manager will work closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers while overseeing the activities and personnel involved in small to large-scale projects. They will maintain project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with project sponsors, business units, and users to define project scope, develop project initiatives, implement project plans, assign and monitor project staff, and ensure the success of projects. They will deliver high-quality project solutions to business problems within defined budgets and timelines, providing expert guidance and support. The role involves creating and maintaining project plans, managing project budgets, and ensuring compliance with company project management policies and standards. Strong communication, leadership, time management, and organizational skills are essential, along with knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, especially JIRA. Experience in managing stakeholders, formal risk management techniques, and change management is highly desirable.


Role, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:

  • Direct the activities and personnel associated with small to large-scale projects, focusing on non-IT business applications and disciplines.
  • Manage all facets of single or multiple multidimensional projects through the Full Project Life Cycle.
  • Collaborate with project sponsors, business units, and users to identify project scope and focus, develop project initiatives, and implement project requirements, plans, processes, and tools.
  • Portfolio management driving a stable of project managers to work plan
  • Assign, guide, and monitor project staff, ensuring the successful execution of project tasks.
  • Deliver high-quality project solutions to business problems within defined budgets and timelines.
  • Provide expert project guidance and support proactively throughout the project completion.
  • Provide tracking, reporting, and presentations to management and users.
  • Manage the project budget in coordination with Resource Management Lead.


Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • PMP certification or other formal project management training required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in project management.
  • Experience in utilities is a plus.
  • Excellent intrapersonal skills and the ability to negotiate effectively with team members.
  • Experience with JIRA is required.
