Job description

Tableau Server Configuration:Install, upgrade, and set up Tableau Server and related components.Fine-tune server performance by optimizing configurations, managing cache settings,and adjusting load balancers.Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies for Tableau Server.Configure authentication methods, including LDAP, SSO, and Active Directoryintegrations.

System Administration:Monitor server activities, analyze logs, and ensure optimal performance and uptime.Manage user groups, permissions, and security protocols, ensuring compliance withorganizational policies.Regularly backup and restore Tableau repositories, ensuring data safety.

Development:Design, develop, and optimize Tableau dashboards and reports.Collaborate with business units to translate complex requirements into interactivevisualizations.Ensure dashboards are optimized for performance, leveraging data extracts andaggregates.

Data Management:Establish and maintain connections to diverse data sources, ensuring seamless data flowinto Tableau.Oversee data preparation, transformation, and modeling to ensure readiness forvisualization.

Collaboration:Act as the primary point of contact for all Tableau-related queries, providing expertguidance and support.Conduct training sessions, workshops, and webinars to enhance the Tableau skills ofend-users.Stay abreast of the latest developments in Tableau Server configurations, features, andindustry best practices.

Proactively recommend and implement enhancements to enrich the Tableauenvironment.Maintain comprehensive documentation detailing Tableau Server architecture,configuration changes, data sources, and best practices.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.3 + years of hands-on experience in Tableau Server configuration and administration.Profound knowledge of Tableau Server's internal architecture and components.Strong understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data warehousing concepts.Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
