SCD Information Technology is seeking a skilled Cloud Software Engineer 1 to join our team in Laurel, MD.This Cloud Software Engineer associate will become a member of a mature software development effort using Java as the primary language.
This position will allow an early career software developer to develop and broaden their skills in the Java language as well as use current technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces. Use of these technologies allows for full stack development, to include ease of building UIs.

Qualifications :
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field from an accredited college or university is highly desired which will be considered equivalent to two (2) years ofexperience.
NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.
Shall have at least 2 years of experience in software engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, andproblem diagnosis/resolution.
Shall have demonstrated ability to work with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Accumulo, Big Table, et cetera.
Shall have at least one (1) year of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java or C++
Shall have at least two (2) years of experience in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph clearance is required.

Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification
Ability to work in a team environment; good communication and collaboration skills; self-starterFamiliarity with:
