As a member of our sales team, you can expect a combination of days spent working remotely from home, in the Baltimore office, and on the road to varying client locations or events within your assigned territory in the MD, DC, and northern VA areas.

Technically Speaking, You Have
Must be comfortable with in-person customer responsibilities and substantial area travel (Role is best suited for a road warrior!) Note: Your driving record may be subject to review.

The information below reflects the anticipated initial base salary range. Should an employment offer be extended, the base salary offered will account for several factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, education, certifications, etc. Depending on an individual's job-relevant qualifications, the range may be exceeded.
In addition to base salary, this position is bonus eligible. Our incentive compensation plan is based upon meeting quarterly sales targets.

We are seeking an experienced salesperson in lighting distribution to join our Distribution Sales team!
About the Role
The Distribution Sales Associate plays a vital role cultivating relationships with electrical distributors, contractors, showrooms, and builders to meet the needs of lighting distribution in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will:
- Build relationships with electrical distributors, contractors, builders, and more.
- Service clients' ongoing needs proactively and identify business opportunities.
- Develop the maximum market share for commercial distributor, contractor, showroom, and lamp & ballasts sales.
- Gather market intelligence to provide value-added technical solutions.
- Making regularly scheduled visits with distributors and sales personnel to assist with writing orders, conducting product training, taking inventory, handling problems, assisting with quotations, and/or attending showroom counter days.
- Work closely with inside sales and customer service personnel to support orders.
- Stay informed on the latest product launches, industry trends, and technology to offer your clients the knowledge and level of service that meets their needs.

Requirements
Technically Speaking, You Have
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a customer service-oriented, direct sales environment, in lighting or another related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
Must be comfortable with in-person customer responsibilities and substantial area travel (Role is best suited for a road warrior!) Note: Your driving record may be subject to review.
Bonus Points for Having
- Experience in Outside Lighting Sales - extra bonus points if your experience is in the MD, DC, and/or northern VA markets!
- Lighting industry experience
- An associate degree in Science, Arts and/or Business Administration
- Experience using Oasis ERP
