Job Description Summary

The Team Leader will partner in process development, policy drafting, and daily execution of accounts payable activities with business partners and suppliers. The Team Leader will play a pivotal role in driving process automation to best support AP's customer base. Superior communication, presentation and change leadership & management skills are required.

The Team Leader is responsible for the accurate and timely payment of invoices from approved suppliers, in a manner consistent with approved quality standards and performance requirements. The Team Leader may also be required to support or lead the development of the AP function to advance department or organizational goals, objectives, and interests. Finally, the Team Leader, Accounts Payable is also responsible for the day-to-day resolution of stakeholder and supplier issues.

The role will work with Plant and Administrative Personnel, Corporate Procurement, Corporate Finance, external suppliers, and Shared Services.

Job Description

Incorporate Accounts Payable / Finance principles into daily work activitiesSupport and drive department KPI'sProvide seamless customer service to all Lamb Weston and external stakeholdersManage assigned items in accordance with approved Accounts Payable / Finance programs using the established policiesResearch and resolve any invoice discrepancies in an effective and timely mannerIdentify areas of inefficiencies and training opportunitiesVerify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactionsProvide accurate records management relative to the AP function in accordance with policiesParticipate and lead department meetingsMaintain internal team reportingPresent data to management in a clear and concise mannerEnsure the team adheres to company policies and remains in compliance with SOX ControlsBecome a "Super User" within the team, providing expert knowledge and support to peers through accurate knowledge transferAssist with internal/external audit reviewsComplete daily banking transactions

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent related experience or trainingMinimum 5+ years' experience in Accounts Payable or related fieldSupervisory experience a plusStrong understanding of the Procure to Pay processAbility to leverage computer software programs, specifically SAP or a comparable ERP solution, in addition to office productivity toolsMust be able to work independently with minimal guidance and effectively work in groupsAbility to serve as a resource to developing accounts payable associatesIntermediate analytical skills desiredAbility to identify problems, inconsistencies, unexpected results, relevant information, and uncertainties and formulate solutions/training opportunitiesAbility to identify and assist with project work while maintaining daily tasksAdvanced understanding of PO structures with the ability to reconcile complicated issuesAble to speak to small groups with a high level of professionalism and drive for motivational outcomeAble to shift focus with great agility to execute on key projects

A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $61,320.00 - $91,990.00
