Talascend is currently seeking a Material Expeditor for a contract opportunity located in Manassas, VA.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsibilities include moving material between work centers and other locations throughout the facility.
- Candidate will also assist with inventory storage and warehouse duties as required.
- Expedites, routes, and dispatches material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments.
- Takes appropriate action to expedite materials in a timely and efficient manner and reports on completion dates, material deliveries etc.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to use a pallet jack, forklift and able to lift & move heavy items (50lbs.)
- Opens containers using hand tools.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand; loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand.
- Conveys materials using a pallet jack, hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices.
- Must be a proactive communicator and highly motivated Preferences: experience working in a warehouse environment
- Skills: Warehouse attention to detail Team Player Basic Computer Skills
