As a Senior Naval Ship Construction/Design Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and construction of naval ships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in naval architecture, ship design, and construction management. This is a 6 month contract to hire and is remote, Secret clearance required.
Responsibilities:
$100,000 - $180,000 a year

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and construction of naval ships, including surface combatants, submarines, and support vessels.
- Collaborate with engineers, shipbuilders, and clients to develop design concepts and construction plans.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, classification society rules, and industry standards.
- Conduct shipyard visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
- Prepare and present design proposals, specifications, and reports to clients and stakeholders.
