GAA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer capable of leading projects and developing construction documents for HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and control systems. PE required or in process of obtaining for candidates with 8 or more years of experience.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer will include:
  • Reviewing projects for coordination
  • Preparation of studies, design, preparation of construction documents, and construction administration services
  • Good communication and writing skills are a must.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • PE required or in process of obtaining for candidates with 8 or more years of experience.
  • LEED certification is desirable.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design for commercial, educational, and government facility projects.
  • Experience with design and analysis of air and hydronic distribution systems, refrigeration, boilers, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and controls for building HVAC systems.
  • Experience with design and analysis of plumbing systems.
  • Construction observation experience.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry design standards.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, Carrier HAP Program (or similar load estimating programs), Microsoft Office.
