Job Description:

LPNs provide evidence-based nursing care utilizing the nursing process, principles, practices and techniques of general nursing care as determined by Standards of Practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse.


Screens for sick call, administers medications, and provides first aid and basic life support to patients and employees as needed. Maintains open lines of communication with security and treatment staff while providing input and feedback to assist the facility provider in organizing a treatment plan. Records all pertinent information into the medical record.


Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Virginia Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license issued by the board of nursing or a multi-state compact license (if you are a recent graduate of a nursing program in VA and not licensed, the NCLEX-PN exam must be scheduled at the time of application)
  • Working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques of practical or general nursing care.
