Job Description

Overview:

The Computer Support Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with infrastructure engineers and administrators to maintain and enhance secure systems using cloud computing services and tools, as well as working across the different layers of the IT infrastructure (e.g. network, storage, platform, database, and application) Individuals with experience in any of the following positions should apply to this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Serving as an IT support liaison for IT requirements, and interact with the appropriate stakeholders to fulfill the requirements
  • Process data transfer requests
  • Provide after hours support if the situation warrants
  • Assist in obtaining security approvals to bring in mission partner IT hardware, such as laptops, scanners, and printers to the site
  • Generate ad-hoc
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment
  • Work across the different layers of the IT infrastructure


Job Requirements

Requirements:
  • 4-7 years of related experience that can be a combination of education and work experience
  • Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's IT security guidelines and policies
  • Demonstrated experience in first and second tier problem solving support related to standard desktop hardware
  • Demonstrated experience with the ability to clearly and accurately explain rules, procedures, and highly complex technical information both orally and written
  • Demonstrated experience transferring data between different systems
  • Demonstrated experience in installing repairing and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics
  • TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
