**Overview:**

Lifeguards are in charge of ensuring all guests are kept safe and all rules and regulations are being followed. They are responsible for responding to any emergency that may occur in a timely manner and communicating as a team during emergency situations.

**How You'll Make A Difference:**

* Monitors and ensures the safety of all guests and co-workers throughout the pool by scanning their specific assigned zone every 10 seconds.

* Ensures every guest understands all attraction rules by administering verbal spiels as well as demonstrating proper rider positioning

* Screen all guests to ensure safety precautions are being met

* Monitors attractions continuously for malfunction or safety concerns and communicates to department leadership.

* Records hourly capacity for the family pool

* Conducts pre-opening and closing checks to ensure the pool area is safe, secure, and clean. May include performing a pre-opening test to ensure proper operation

**We're Looking For:**

If you love being outside and are observant to ensure safety of our guests, be able to explan safety rules to guests, warn them about unsafe situations, you will play an instrumental role in maintaining orderliness by inspecting swimming pool areas. To ensure success you need to assess sitations swiftly and make decisions regarding the safety of our swimmers. Must be an excellent communicator , and safety minded. Works with other associates to create a welcoming experience for thousands of guests per day. You must successfully complete the Kings Island Lifeguard training .
