**Responsibilities**

This journeyman Evidence Custodian supports the Computer Forensics Laboratory (CFL) within the Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3). Responsible for the entire evidence control lifecycle from receipt and storage to extraction and analysis assignment, retention and return of media, following appropriate controls including critical chain of custody. Maintains and updates intake procedures. Identifies evidence and policy issues. Supports the evidence control room to ensure proper chain of custody for storage and distribution to forensic examiners. Processes the return or disposal of digital media after forensic examination completion. Ensures digital evidence media is properly marked, tracked, processed and recorded within the case management system according to the evidence handling process.

**Qualifications**

* Requires 2 to 5 years with BS/BA or 0 to 2 years with MS/MA/MBA or 8 to 10 years with no degree.

* Requires Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

* Experience dealing with evidence and chain of custody

* Must possess a high level of attention to detail

**Desired Qualifications**

* Previous experience managing an evidence program is highly desired

* Law enforcement experience preferred

* Familiarity with digital evidence logging applications

Colorado Salary Minimum: $37,960.00

Colorado Salary Maximum:$81,161.60 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peratons total compensation package for employees.
