In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing care to patients in the PACU and Ambulatory Care Clinic and Pre-Admission Clinic.Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of OntarioCurrent Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hireACLS Certification required at time of hire and ongoingRecent Surgical Day Care nursing experience preferred.Critical Care Nursing course and/or PACU course required.Coronary Care 1 and 2 preferredExperience with administering IV drugs below the drip chambers, central lines, Epidural/ PCA pump, ECG machines, invasive pressure monitoring required.Experience with phlebotomy, paracentesis, and other ambulatory care procedures.Ability to interpret advanced arrhythmiasMust possess excellent decision making & critical thinking skillsFlexible, good team player with positive attitude.Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.Caring attitude with patients, families and co-workers.Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.Hours: Monday to Sunday - Various rotating shifts-- Days and Evenings -- 7.5 hour shifts. On call PACU shifts scheduled (hours subject to change based on operational requirements)Salary:
