Function of the Position:

DAI is hiring for an Associate, Project Management position in theCentral America and Mexicoportfolio to work as part of a team responsible for monitoring and managing U.S. Government-funded international development projects in different countries and regions around the world.

The Associate will be assigned one to two projects within the portfolio they are assigned serving as a key, home office support link to the project implementation team based in a specific country, region, or Washington, D.C. Reporting to a home office Project Manager or Director, theAssociateassists in providing operational, financial and contractual oversight to a project, which in turn helps the project achieve quality programming and development results. As a member of the home office project management team, theAssociatecollaborates with colleagues in the home office, with the project, and across USG Programs at DAI.

This is a full-time position which requires authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities ** **

Project Management Support

  • Serve as a liaison to project teams for day-to-day problem-solving and operational support with guidance from the Project Manager/Director.

  • Independentlyidentifyand trouble-shoot routine problems, escalate more complex issues to the Project Manager/Director, and follow up on issues until resolved.

  • Provideshort-term coverage for other Associates as needed.

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate routine project administrative activities under the responsibility of the home office, including management of project staff and consultant documents,maintainingproject files, requesting purchases for goods and services, and tracking project deliverable due dates and ensuringtimelysubmissions.

  • Perform time-sensitive administrative tasks including reviewing vendor invoices,issuingand tracking requisitions,monitoringand adjusting accounts payable submissions, auditing expense reports, and coordinating the mobilization and demobilizing of staff on overseas country assignments.

  • Conduct routine auditing of grant, subcontract, and operations files to ensure compliance with U.S. Government requirements and DAI policies and procedures. Maintain files andensuresrecord retention compliance.

Contract Management

  • Initiate requests for internal and client approvals, coordinate submissions for contract and subcontract modifications, and coordinate all other requests for contract office support.

  • Draft routine contractual documents using approved templates.

  • Synthesize potential issues for the Project Manager/Director, Contracts Administrator, and project team.

  • Monitor compliance withcontractand regulations and escalate issues as needed.

Financial Management

  • Review and process project financial transactions and monthly project invoices.

  • Review and process, with some guidance from the Project Manager/Director, consultant, subcontractor, and vendor invoices through DAI sfinancial managementsystem.

  • Maintain project budgeting tool and coordinate data entry from project and home office.

  • Support monthly financial analysis, quarterly forecasts, and ad hoc financial troubleshooting and reporting as requested with guidance from the Project Manager/Director.

Business Development

  • Support budgeting for new proposals, in close coordination with the proposal team.

Qualifications & Skills ** **

MinimumRequirements for Grade P2:

  • One year of relevant administrative or professional experience in project management and a college degree. Candidates with more years of relevant experience without a college degree will be considered.

  • Strong administrative,analyticaland organizational skills, witha meticulousattention to detail.

  • Ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information with discretion.

  • Ability to take initiative andproblem solve.

  • Flexibility to adjust to changes in demands, new situations, or approaches.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate information clearly and tailor communication style to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to build andmaintaincollaborative, respectful relationships with colleagues and external clients at all levels and from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

  • Willingness to adjust work schedule as needed to support teamslocatedin different time zones/countries.

  • Willingnessto travel to any country where DAIoperatesand the DAI Global Security teamdeemssafe for travel.

  • Authorization to work in the United States.

  • Professional proficiency in Spanish.

Preferred, but notrequired:

  • Proficiencyusing Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Compensation & Benefits :

The full-time equivalent annual base salary for this U.S-based position is expected to be between $56,626to $61,622. Actual offers will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant education, experience, skills, seniority, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Eligible U.S.-based employees will be able to enroll in medical, dental and vision insurance, plus a 401(k)-retirement plan with a company match.Additionally, employees will be eligible for company-paid annual leave (vacation and holidays), sick leave, and parental leave, as well as short- and long-term disability coverage.Detailed information will be provided at the time a formal offer is extended.
