You agree to complete a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position with the U.S. federal government or other clearances as deemed appropriate for the roleRole:Work in a database team to support our customers that running the salesforce applications. You will help delivering the most recent softwares to ensure our systems are running in a secured and version updated platform. The working location will be in Bellevue, Washington or Denver, Colorado.Your Impact:Implementation of the product new features, new versions and address the vulnerabilities.Come up with innovative ideas to improve performance, scalability and resilience in a large-scale platformImplement comprehensive functional and system-test for your area of responsibility and for overall database qualityDebug, conduct root cause analysis, diagnose defectsActively participate in database operation and feature enhancement on premise and in Public cloud platform. Responsibility and accountability for the availability and reliability of all Production Databases.Working with other Engineering teams to triage issues.Perform root cause analysis of problems and subsequently, make and implement recommendations to prevent future occurrences or customer impact.Define, develop and deploy system monitoring requirements/thresholds as well as corrective actions. Improve the system reliability via predictive analysis.Design, develop, deploy, and enhance automation to reliably manage the platform infrastructure.Designing, scaling out services in our multi-tenant infrastructure.Collaborate with and provide detailed feedback to internal/External Database cloud collaborators on resiliency initiatives.To Participate in production Incident Management / Critical issue Management call and be able to drive the incident to resolution.Provides technical and platform support to multiple customers and partners that use the production systems.Requirements:U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) who does not hold dual citizenship. Meeting CJIS requirements.BS Degree in Computer Science or Technical FieldWorking in 3 ~ 11pm PST timeExperience on leading production database on AWS, such as Postgres, Oracle, etc..Experience in production database administration and trouble shooting.Experience in working at high-performance, low-latency, high-availability (99.99%) and self-recoverable systemsExperience in configuring database monitoringExperience in a Linux cloud environment with fluency in command line interfaces and shell scripting Bash, ShellKnowledge of AWS EKS, Spinnaker pipeline and Kubernetes knowledges.Ability to support/resolve production issue with excellent debugging and problem solving skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsHave a passion for working together as a team and ensuring team success, also able to work independently.Ability to work in a high pressure environment.Strong ownership and DeterminedPreferred Requirements:Experience in KubenetesPrior experience Deploying database on EC2 in AWSExperience in Grafanas, CI/CD, and change management conceptsAccommodationsIf you require assistance due to a disability applying for open positions please submit a request via this Accommodations Request Form.Posting StatementAt Salesforce we believe that the business of business is to improve the state of our world.
