Location: PMC- CMAC- Middle River Boys and Girls Club
Position Type: full-time (30 hours/week), non-exempt
Pay Range: $15.00/hour
About this opportunity:
The Program Aide plans, implements, supervises members, and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, supporting our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character, and Citizenship. The Program Aide also transports club members to community outings/field trips.
Key responsibilities:
Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
Promote and stimulate program participation.
Register new members and participate in their club orientation process.
Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
Effectively implement and administer programs, services, and activities for Club members.
Monitor and evaluate programs, services, and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the branch at all times. Prepare periodic activity reports.
Assist with implementation of outreach efforts to sustain and increase program membership and program participation.
Assist in maintaining facility and equipment in good working order.
Assist in maintaining all storage areas keeping them orderly and clean.
Report all repairs, maintenance, and janitorial needs to supervisor.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
May participate in special programs and/or events.
Required to drive Club vehicle to transport club participants and/or foods/equipment, etc.
Assist in the conservation of all Salvation Army resources.
Abide by and enforce all Salvation Army policies and procedures.
Be willing to assist in any way asked to fulfill the mission of The Salvation Army.
Any other duties as may be assigned.
What we are looking for in you:
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or G.E.D. AND previous work in related field with Children and Youth, preferred; Commitment to actively participate in a Professional Development Plan.
Licenses and Certifications
Valid State Driver's License, required; CDL license, preferred
First Aid and C.P.R. Certification (or ability to obtain)
