The Roofing and Asphalt Capital Delivery Engineer (Project Leader) is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient use of Roofing and Asphalt (R&A) capital resources, being a fully engaged member of the Capital Delivery Team, and accountable for defining/executing capital investment projects in our 28 manufacturing facilities (13 Roofing and 12 Asphalt plants). Typical goals are; zero injuries to OC employees or contractors, on-time project delivery, project spending consistent within budget expectations, researching/developing proposed business solutions, and overall excellent project management skills. In addition, it is common to expect the Project Leader be aligned with organizational goals of zero injuries, perfect quality systems and a waste free environment. * Living the Safety stand and adhering to the safety responsibilities

* Develop project scopes with plant input, including maintenance personnel

* Effectively leads capital projects from concept to completion in a way that no injuries occur and timing & spending is within expectations, so that the maximum benefit is achieved with company resources.

* Support multi-plant network with troubleshooting, design, maintenance, and loss prevention assistance when needed

* Lead multiple electrical projects simultaneously through networking with engineering firms, including Alliance Partners; run projects as project manager, as well as organizing fellow project managers.

* Develop capital approval requests as necessary; ensure the requested funding is consistent with all project requirements so that approved amount is not exceeded.

* Able to analyze systems, research options, and determine the most optimum cost/benefit relationship to deliver capital projects.

* Ensure compliance with all electrical codes at a local and national level

* Good knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70) and NFPA 70E

* Ensure all projects are delivered consistent with scope and expectations around operability and cost.

* Strong knowledge in both controls and power delivery

* Engage in process start up operation, problem solving skills, active listening, and process improvement

* Lead troubleshooting process issues and developing corrective actions/recommendation

* Apply experience with combustion/environmental emission controls devices

* Reaches mutually beneficial agreement with all supported operating departments on required capacity specifications, in terms of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) or similar metric that measures capacity losses related to quality, availability, and performance

* Identifies, understands, and teaches others Capital Delivery Procedures required to provide our manufacturing sites with reliable and productive equipment/machinery

* Develops and implements procedures and systems to ensure equipment consistently meets or exceeds design expectations

* Supports the R&A sites to ensure they meet our customers needs

This position requires Up to 60%, and with previous travel experience * BS or MS in Electrical Engineering

* Plant experience: held previous plant or manufacturing leadership roles

* 10+ years experience in Electrical Engineering

* 5+ years in electrical project management; small to large $1MM total project cost

* Experience utilizing Microsoft Office products

* TPM & EM Pillar experience

* LEAN manufacturing envolvement

* Professional engineer

* 6 Sigma Black or Green belt

* Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to effectively communicate with people across all levels of the organization

* Ability to direct and collaborate across teams

* Ability to adapt in various working environments(development laboratory or manufacturing plant floor for equipment start-up and commissioning)

* Lead and influence teams as projects scopes change and be able to control the project deliverables through commissioning/start-up.

* Serve as the subject matter expert on electrical engineering process improvements

* Electric Power Delivery knowledge including switchgear, transformers, power feeds consisting of conductor and conduit sizing.

* General understanding of all applicable electrical codes

* Good communication, written and verbal, with all levels, floor level to Senior Management

* PLC5 and ControlLogix programming awareness

* Allen Bradley VFD drives troubleshooting and configuration, Safe Torque off

* Project Management software whether it is Microsoft Project or some other vendor

* Basic knowledge in mechanical and chemical processes

* Instrumentation PID control in temperature, pressure and level.

* Process Communication/Ethernet Communication (Rockwell Stratix)Development of specifications for procurement and design of Mechanical systems

* Development of cost estimates for engineering and capital delivery

* Supervision of mechanical / electrical designers in the development of designs for process equipment: Hardware selection, drawings, layouts, and interface diagrams

* Configuration mechanical drive systems, understanding of approaches (torque, velocity, position control)

* Works with counterparts on software development for HMI interfaces

* Experience in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), equipment checkout, debugging, commissioning, and start up activities of mechanical process equipment

* Broad range of experience in industrial hardware (pumps, motors, conveyors, process equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.)

* Basic understanding of electrical engineering schemes & controls for effective interface with electrical engineering colleagues in design of process equipment

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and/or projects at one time

* Use of Auto Cad Design Software, Solid works Software, and other related design packages

* Use and interface of programming of Siemens controllers

* Experience with Allen Bradley Kinetix Servos controls

* Interfaces to electrical componets, and their functions
