Job description

Position Overview: As a Loan Processor, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the loan application process from start to finish. You will be responsible for gathering and reviewing loan documentation, verifying applicant information, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

Loan Application Processing:

Collect and review loan applications, supporting documents, and financial information submitted by applicants.

Verify applicant information, including income, employment history, credit reports, and property valuations.

Document Preparation and Review:

Prepare loan documentation, including loan estimates, disclosures, and closing documents, in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Review loan documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with lending guidelines.

Communication and Coordination:

Communicate with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and other stakeholders to ensure timely processing and closing of loans.

Provide updates to clients on the status of their loan applications and address any questions or concerns they may have.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with lending regulations, including RESPA, TILA, and HMDA, as well as company policies and procedures.

Conduct quality control checks to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in loan documentation.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the loan process, addressing inquiries, providing guidance, and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.

Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, promoting trust and confidence in our lending services.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required

Strong knowledge of loan origination systems, lending regulations, and industry best practices.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.

Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and loan processing software.
