Responsible for operating a forklift truck to move plain and decorated metal from vendors trucks to storage area and to move metal to and from litho decorating lines. This position is an hourly non-exempt position and reports to the Director of Lithography and is subject to overtime. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** include the following:

1. Operate for trucks to receive plain and decorated metal and supplies, checking its condition and the accuracy of the receiving paperwork.

2. Store and record metal in designated areas.

3. Operate fork truck to move finished metal from lithography to the manufacturing area.

4. Supply metal to and remove metal from decorating lines in sufficient volumes to keep lines running continuously.

5. Must observe all loads before pickup for proper strapping and ticket identification.

6. Operate fork trucks in a safe manner so as not to jeopardize the safety of personnel or damage to metal or equipment.

7. Place drums on and remove them from the coating tumbler in the absence of the inkman.

8. Daily maintenance of their assigned fork trucks.

9. Other duties as assigned.

10. Operate fork trucks to empty scrap and trash hoppers.

11. Operate fork trucks to load and unload trucks as required.

12. Sweep, clean, pick-up trash, general house cleaning.

13. Must follow proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with State and Federal laws.

14. Travel is required as needed for this position.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:** High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Pass the Fork Truck Training certification course. Achievement of high school level math.

**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:** Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

**REASONING ABILITY:** Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:** Must possess a valid State issued drivers license, which meets Company requirements of the Fleet Management Policy and insurance requirements; and be fork truck certified.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employee must be able to operate the fork truck in a safe and expeditious manner so that there are no delays in the manufacturing or in the shipping operations. Employee must be able to safely and efficiently operate the lift at its maximum lift height (approximately 180").
