TITLE: Linux Test Engineer

LOCATION: Remote OR Dallas Fort Worth, TX Area

About the role: As an experience Linux Test Engineer you will have a deep understanding of complex Linux base software architectures emphasizing IT security.

What you will do:
  • Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products
  • Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing
  • Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures
  • Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software
  • Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action
  • Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems
  • Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software
  • Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing
  • Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
  • Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques
  • Provides resolution to an assortment of problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments; work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy
  • Contributes to the fulfillment of projects and organizational objectives


Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain US-government-issued secret security clearance
  • University degree and 3 to 5 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Automation Testing using Linux shell scripting, Python or Bash scripting.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Lab Base Security Assessments.
  • Experience using Zephyr Scale test case manager in JIRA.
  • Experience with Selenium web automation, but not required.


A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
$75,140.00-117,271.44 USD

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
