Job description

Those offerings include devices such as switches, sensors, data communication modules, touch input panels, actuators, and power inductors; electronic shifters, remote keyless entry systems, and other automotive units; consumer electronics like car navigation and audio-visual systems; and systems and services such as digital keys based on the smartphone app and blockchain technology, and remote monitoring.

Essential Functions:

  • Create, modify, and check 3D data and drawings to meet specifications and timing.
  • Create and maintain customer and internal engineering forms.
  • Develop, review, and present Technical Design Review materials to customers during the program quoting phase.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on new designs.
  • Guide support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication.
  • Attend program meetings, both internal and external, to report program status, issues, and proposed solutions.
  • Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
  • Assemble parts for appearance reviews and customer-build events.

  • Working together with development teams in China and Japan as well as the manufacturing plant in Mexico, supporting meetings outside of normal business hours is expected.

  • Support customer development activities in the Dublin office, at the customer site, and customer manufacturing plants.
  • Proficient in Catia V5/V6

  • Based at the Alps Alpine satellite office in Dublin OH.
  • Knowledge of Honda development process and Milestones


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or approved equivalent
  • Experience in automotive product development/electro-mechanical product design and development required.
  • Strong technical communication skills, attention to detail
  • Preferred: Japanese or Chinese language skills
