JOB SUMMARY
The School of Counseling at Marymount University invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Applicants are encouraged to apply who have a strong commitment to teaching and research in the field of professional counseling. Teaching responsibilities include courses in the CACREP core. The standard teaching load is 3/3; other responsibilities include scholarship and service.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching of courses listed above and availability for office hours
Advising Mentoring students
Service to the School and University wide committees
Scholarly activities that meet the requirement of the School of Counseling
Must have appropriate license (LPC) and certifications
OTHER DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS
Knowledge of degree requirements within school, including LPC licensure
Participation on committees as part of university shared governance
Collaboration in external funding sources (Associate
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Ph.D./Ed.D. from a CACREP accredited program in Counselor Education and Supervision
Experience
Assistant: (Minimum requirement) earned doctorate or 1 year from dissertation completion
Associate: Experience in teaching that meets the university requirements will be considered for Associate rank to include teaching experience and record of scholarship
Licenses or Certifications LPC or eligible in DC, Virginia, or Maryland within a year from hire
Financial Responsibility None
Supervision None at onset of hire
