POSITION OVERVIEW: Basic Function of the Position: This role will drive cross-functional projects for CES, with a focus on the CES Innovation Awards Program. They will develop strategic project plans, establish goals, set program budgets, implement project plans and generate program revenue. This person will lead the cross-functional Innovations Project Team which includes participants from Operations, Market Research, Marketing and Creative Services who advise on and support the project. They will serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries from internal and external clients and coordinate all program logistics both pre-show and on-site at CES.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop strategic plan, goals and budget.
Drive implementation of the project plans and logistics, including:
Program rules, processes and procedures
Call for entries process
Call for judges process
Entry review process
Website content
Promotional content
Data management
Trophy development
Guide project support team to execute program tactics.
Administrate and maintain web-based program software.
Develop, evaluate and suggest process enhancements and tools for the continued program improvement.
Manage client's external Innovation Award vendor(s).
Serve as primary point of contact.
Lead all training and communication.
Keep vendor apprised of changes and milestones.
Monitor vendor performance through service reporting and execution.
Implement change management.
Function as the primary point of contact for inquiries from both internal and external clients.
Oversee the Innovation Awards Showcase on-site at CES, including working with Operations on design and logistics and managing temporary staff on-site.
Thrive project management and/or support for additional cross-functional CES projects.
Perform other duties as required by business needs.
Work Experience:
3-5 years of related work experience to include:
Managed cross-functional teams
Work on awards programs
Management of external vendors, partners or consultants
Excellent verbal communication skills and strong writing skills
Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
Skills/Capabilities/Technical:
Program management.
Keep cross-functional teams moving forward.
Be an active contributor, communicate and educate across all levels of an organization.
Work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.
Be flexible and agile with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Maintain a professional demeanor with internal staff, external vendors and customers.
Budget and Staff:
Responsible for developing and maintaining an operating budget of approximately $100K.
Will train and supervise short-term temporary staff and external vendor(s).
Additional Information:
Hybrid work environment, with a typical in-office schedule on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Travel to CES in Las Vegas, Nevada is required (early January)
