****Job Description****

* LBYD Federal is a diverse engineering services company focusing primarily on federal sector work that offers competitive salary and benefits packages with a matching 401k program. In relation to this posting, LBYD Federal works on a wide variety of challenging water infrastructure related projects including design and rehabilitation of dams, levees, pipelines, stormwater systems, coastal/stream restoration, and flood mitigation projects. We are currently seeking a regional team lead(s) for our nationwide FEMA MT-2 program. Candidate will need to have advanced hydrology and hydraulic (H&H) modeling background and project management experience in relation to processing MT-2 applications for Conditional Letters of Map Revision (CLOMRs) and Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs) under the FEMA National Flood Insurance Program. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate project management experience with teams of 3 or more staff and/or budgets of $1M per year or greater related to similar flood mapping or similar H&H projects.

Candidates should have a solid civil engineering background with an H&H focus related to flood mapping. Ideal candidates will demonstrate experience with and programmatic knowledge of the Conditional Letters of Map Revision (CLOMRs) and Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs) for a variety of flood mapping scenarios.

Duties include:

Managing a regional team of engineers in the evaluation of CLOMRs/LOMRs under National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) to process applications on time to determine adherence to government regulations and ultimately if they qualify for a CLOMR or LOMR,

Responsible for interfacing with regional stakeholders with respect to NFIP developments and training or for resolution of issues related to complex cases,

Responsible for reporting up to program director and participating in occasional meetings with FEMA as regional leader, and

Collaboration with document controls and post-processing staff during final production of hard copies and maps for the record.

******Qualifications******

* Minimum four (4) year Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) from an accredited school. Ideally an engineering degree with a focus on water resources,

Minimum 5 years of experience related to civil-water projects involving hydrologic and hydraulic modeling,

Minimum 2 years of project management experience for contracts of $1M per year or greater,

Experience with Hydrology and Hydraulic modeling for floodplains is required,

Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) membership preferred, and

Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) or ability to obtain within 1 year desired

PE licensure is a plus

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,

Ability to manage teams of engineers in a collaborative environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills, and

Ability/willingness to travel (up to 15%)
