**Description**

**SUMMARY OF POSITION:** The Janitor is responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. The Janitor will comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the OSHA Act of 1970, which are applicable to his own actions and conduct.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Uses cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.

* Sweep and mop floors.

* Empties trash cans and replaces liners.

* Cleans windows, glass, and mirrors.

* Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants.

* Refill soap, toilet paper, and paper towel dispensers.

* Comply with safety rules and procedures and be alert for unsafe conditions.

* Follows all department safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and personal protection equipment.

* Must maintain personal appearance according to company guidelines.

* Other duties as assigned, but no covered herein.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* **Must have valid drivers license.**

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

* Ability to use tools, equipment, and materials for cleaning.

* Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead, reaching forward. Must be able to lift and/or carry 25lbs.

* Perform duties in all weather conditions and environments.

* Must successfully pass all pre-employment checks and drug tests, as required.

* Must be 18 years of age or older.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* High School Diploma/GED preferred.

* Prior detailing experience preferred, but not required.
