Vinson Hall Retirement Community (VHRC), a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community, located in beautiful McLean, VA is currently seeking an energetic team player to join our team as our Guest Services Operations Manager. If caring for older adults is your passion, we are looking for YOU! We are also offering a $2,000 sign on bonus.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Unarmed Security Officer Certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire date).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional listening skills.
  • Passionate about working with aging adults.
  • Proficiency in computer skills to include the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel as well as the ability to learn new applications.
  • Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Willingness to provide coverage in the absence of scheduled team members.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities
  1. Hires, trains, schedules and manages Concierge, Drivers, and Security staff.
  2. Collaborate closely with the Sr. Director of Property Management on emergency response and preparedness initiatives.
  3. Serve as a key point of contact during emergency situations, coordinating with appropriate personnel and agencies as necessary.
  4. Provide exceptional customer service.
  5. Responsible for overseeing and assisting with room scheduling.
  6. Provides feedback on incidents or security breaches observed by Security guards, involving residents, guests, and staff reports of property damage or other security issues.
  7. Manage department budget and costs by monitoring expenses, including overtime and related expenditures.
  8. Act as the first responder to resident emergencies, contacting appropriate personnel such as Health Services or maintenance staff.
  9. Maintain resident rights and confidentiality at all times, adhering to applicable regulations and company policies.
