The person in this role will coordinate with several teams across Amazon and will interact with our most important suppliers to satisfy organizational requirements. The position will work and partner with multiple teams to develop and execute category sourcing strategies, deliver savings and improve productivity across the category. You will work independently and with peers to generate high-quality work product in a collaborative, creative, ever-changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment.Key job responsibilitiesIdentify, develop and deliver long term sourcing strategies, lead key initiatives with cross-functional teams; drive the decision making process of the category roadmap with senior leadershipDevelop inventory strategies within a high volume product categoryDrive commercial relationships with suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving optimal cost and performanceLead supplier performance management; including improving sustainability & social responsibilityCoordinate and collaborate with global/local teams to deploy and manage the implementation of your defined strategiesInfluence suppliers roadmaps, design, processes, technology decisions and strategiesLead complex and cross-functional projects productivity, sustainability and innovationsA day in the lifeAmazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market.
