Graduate Manufacturing Engineer

About the company

Our client is a leading pharmaceutical solutions focusing on manufacturing and packaging for the pharmaceutical, OTC, medical device and animal health markets. They are looking for an experienced manufacturing engineer to join them in order to enhance and develop the production and manufacturing overall process.

Duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Determine the most efficient process for the organization to utilize capital, equipment, facilities, material and other assets, in order to produce a product or provide a service.
• Plan the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials and personnel to improve efficiency of operations.
• Conduct operational research in order to meet protocol or service manufacturing design requirements.
• Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment. Plans layout to provide maximum possible operating efficiency.
• Analyzing work force utilization, facility layout and operational data (e.g. production costs, production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment).
• Working with management and executives to develop lean practices and mentor teams, leading process improvement projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Previous experience in Equipment, Maintenance or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience with packaging, equipment sourcing and troubleshooting or production activities.
