We are seeking BC/BE pediatricians for locum tenens positions in Hospitalist and Emergency Medicine roles near Abingdon, MD. This opportunity involves working 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a) approximately three times per week, including weekends and nights. While night and weekend shifts are preferred, a mix of day and night shifts will be available. No on-call requirements.
Candidates must hold a Maryland medical license, possess a clean malpractice history, and reside in the general vicinity. The program offers 24/7 coverage of the Family Birthing Unit, including a Level 2 nursery and a 10-bed pediatric unit, with high-risk deliveries for infants at or over 32 weeks. Responsibilities also include coverage of the 4-bed Pediatric Emergency Department, with two pediatricians per shift-one assigned to the pediatric emergency department and one to floor duties.
Ideal candidates will be board eligible or board certified in pediatrics, NRP/PALS certified, and skilled in attending deliveries, neonatal resuscitation & intubation, arterial puncture, lumbar puncture, umbilical vein catheterization, and pediatric resuscitation.
