System Engineer

Job description

Future Technologies is seeking a System Engineer to join our winning team. Location: Dahlgren, VA

Clearance: Secret


Duties include but are not limited to:

Implement new user requirements for threat model based on the Simulation Systems capabilities.

Evaluate user requirements for threat modeling; validate file builds with comparison analysis tools (Beyond Compare, MATLAB)

Evaluate trajectory data and convert to NGS required formats; coordinate threat modeling with existing database and update as necessary.

Use MATLAB to build and validate data (end to end); raw data input to processed output.

Build and update web pages for BMD Certification. Coordinate user input for required display data; coordinate distribution efforts with government approval.

Participate in user requirements meetings; establish stakeholder requirements for data updates and implementation.

Maintain documentation and Scenario Catalog

Think outside of the box to implement innovative and effective solutions.

Adapt quickly to obstacles and changing demands.

Evaluate systems (hardware and software) and make recommendations for improvements and solutions.

Talk with customers and understand their needs, communicating the requirements and timeline for their system plan.

Work independently or with a team to ensure projects are completed effectively and efficiently.

Education and requirements:

  • Self-motivated and work well independently
  • In-depth knowledge of data structures and ability to analyze data to solve problems
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills that strike a balance among validation/verification, requirements analysis, customer interaction and project oversight
  • Flexible and easily adaptable
  • AEGIS console familiarity (BMD operations, AAW operations).
  • AEGIS lab operations and functions for AAW and BMD.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Four (4) years of System Engineer experience in a real world setting in RDT&E environment
  • Must have a current DOD clearance at the SECRET level and be able to obtain TOP SECRET/SCI
