UX Designer
Washington, DC; minimum 3 days onsite

As a UX Designer, you will be instrumental in redesigning iLAP with an in-house cloud solution, ensuring intuitive and efficient user interfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business sponsors and subject matter experts to understand requirements and constraints, translating them into appealing and highly usable interfaces.
• Conduct primary and secondary research to understand end users' needs, including user interviews, data analysis, and existing system evaluation.
• Develop personas, scenarios, wireframes, and visual design mockups to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Ensure application-level consistency and adherence to design standards across all interfaces.
• Propose design solutions and improvements based on usability evaluations.
• Present designs to clients for review and iterate based on feedback.
• Create prototypes ranging from draft concepts to interactive prototypes for internal review and brainstorming.
• Optimize designs considering technical feasibility, security, and business constraints.
• Conduct heuristic reviews of websites and web applications.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth implementation of designs.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in UX designing.
• Proven experience in designing responsive websites.
• Strong visual design skills; able to explain design philosophy verbally and in writing.
• Advanced skills in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, etc.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
• Cutting-edge knowledge of UX/UI design standards and trends.
• Familiarity with usability testing and survey tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in an iterative and agile environment.
• Capability to meet tight deadlines.
